1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website sends to your browser and that the browser stores on your device, either to make the site work or to collect information about your browsing. For convenience, on this page “cookies” also refers to similar technologies (such as tracking pixels).
2. How we manage consent
On your first visit, a banner asks for your consent to non-technical cookies: you can choose “Accept all” or “Necessary only”, two buttons with equal prominence. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time from the box at the bottom of this page (section 7), from the “Manage consent” button at the bottom of the site pages (on desktop), or by deleting cookies from your browser. Technical cookies always remain active, as they are necessary for the site to work.
3. The tools we use
3.1 Technical cookies (no consent required)
These are necessary for the site to work, including remembering your cookie preferences. They are set by the consent management plugin Complianz.

3.2 Statistics cookies (only with your consent)
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — measures site visits in aggregate form, to understand which pages perform best. Measurement ID: G-CFGVKCFN29.

3.3 Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., for Facebook and Instagram) — measures the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and allows us to show you more relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram (remarketing), including by building audiences similar to other users who have visited the site.

You can manage Meta’s personalised advertising from your Facebook or Instagram account settings, under “Ads”.
3.4 Google Maps (map on the Contact page)
The Contact page embeds a Google Maps map to show WAHU’s address. Loading is blocked by default: a static image is shown instead of the map, and the actual Google map only loads if you consent to marketing cookies (with “Accept all” in the banner, or with the button shown on the map placeholder).
3.5 WhatsApp
The “WhatsApp” button on the site is a simple link (wa.me) that opens the WhatsApp app or website: it is not a widget embedded in the page and does not set WhatsApp cookies on wahuwater.it. If you continue the conversation on WhatsApp, WhatsApp/Meta’s own terms and privacy policy apply, outside WAHU’s control.
3.6 WAHU’s internal statistical measurement (no cookies)
WAHU also uses its own, in-house visit counter, which sets no cookie and never stores your IP address: it only computes an anonymous fingerprint that changes every day, to count unique visitors per day in aggregate form. As it is not a cookie or equivalent tool requiring consent under the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021, it does not appear in the banner. Details are in the Privacy Policy, section 4.
4. What is NOT (any longer) on the site
For clarity: the site is not built on Shopify and does not contain Facebook or other social network “like”/”share” buttons embedded in the pages. If you find cookies from this site in your browser with names not listed on this page (for example leftovers from tools no longer in use), WAHU does not use them for any purpose: you can delete them from your browser or report them to us at info@wahuwater.it.
