Frequently asked questions

Is microfiltered water safe?

Yes. WAHU! systems retain suspended microparticles, sediment, rust and impurities and, thanks to the silver salts the filter is impregnated with, prevent bacteria from proliferating inside them. The scheduled maintenance carried out by our technicians keeps the system hygienic and the water quality consistent over time.

What is the difference between microfiltration and ultrafiltration?

Microfiltration (0.5 micron) retains microparticles, rust, mould and algae and, thanks to activated carbon, reduces chlorine, metals and organic compounds. Ultrafiltration (0.15 micron) adds a hollow-fibre membrane that removes 99.99% of the bacterial load and microplastics. We supply both: together we choose the level of filtration best suited to you.

Is it better to rent or to buy?

It depends on how you use it. Rental brings installation, periodic sanitisation and support together in a single fee: ideal for restaurants, hotels, bars and offices. Buying is the right choice for the home and for steady use. In both cases installation and maintenance are handled by the technicians of Gruppo IM Maioli Impianti.

Is installation included? How long does it take?

We take care of the survey, installation and testing. The system connects to your existing water mains: in most cases installation is completed in just a few hours, with no invasive building work.
